Stefania Rulli presented with UNISON’s Learning Initiative Award

“She has been a driving force in promoting educational initiatives”

Stefania Rulli, a member of North Somerset Branch, is the recipient of this year’s Get Active Learning Initiative Award. This accolade recognises her exceptional dedication to education.

Stefania’s passion for learning is evident in her continuous personal and professional development. Since taking on the role of Education and Learning Officer for her branch in 2023, she has been a driving force in promoting educational initiatives.

One of Stefania’s notable achievements was planning and executing an International Women’s Day event, which featured speakers and attracted a diverse audience from the community in Weston-super-Mare. This event not only celebrated women’s achievements but also underscored the importance of education and learning.

Stefania has also made a substantial impact through in-branch training programs, working closely with tutors to enhance the branch’s profile and highlight the benefits of UNISON membership. Her efforts have not only educated members but also strengthened the branch’s presence in the community.

UNISON South West regional secretary Kerry Baigent said: “Stefania’s enthusiasm for learning and her desire to deepen her involvement in the branch is inspirational. She is continuously exploring the broader roles, services, and responsibilities within the union, ensuring that UNISON learning remains at the forefront of branch activities.”
