In the South West 81% of UNISON members are women. Our members are taking big steps for gender equality, but there’s a lot further to go.
Our South West Regional Women’s Committee campaigns for improvements to women’s rights in the workplace and in the wider community and supports campaigns aimed at improving women’s lives.
Our Women’s Committee meet on a regular basis to develop policies, promote equality and encourage wider participation of women members at all levels of the union.
As a member of UNISON, you have the support and guidance of thousands of other women members, who face the same workplace challenges as you. If you encounter issues such as the gender pay gap or denial of your maternity rights, UNISON can help you with practical information, support and legal advice.
