Tom Hemmings, UNISON area organiser, said:

“With inflation running at 9.9% and UNISON members pay falling in real terms over the past decade, we know that many people are being hit hard by the cost of living crisis.

“We’re incredibly proud of the work that the union’s charity, There for You, does from school uniform grants to the COVID response fund, our members need their help more that ever before.

“Many of us had never done this distance before so it was great to push ourselves for this incredible cause.”
