UNISON’s organising van hits the road

UNISON staff are all smiles outside Bath Royal United Hospital. The sun is shining and there's a van parked with a table in front covered with a UNISON tablecloth.

UNISON staff and stewards were out on the road all week in the Bristol and Bath area with our very own organising van.

The van has been out to Bath Spa University where staff and students were able to engage in conversations around Trade Unionism and what was happening in the workplace.

At the University of Bath staff in portering and housekeeping were able to come along and speak with stewards and UNISON staff about the benefits of Trade Union membership and what was happening in their workplace.

The week was rounded off with a stop at Bath Royal United Trust Hospital (pictured above) where we spoke to Band 2 healthcare assistants about our ‘Fair Pay for Patient Care’ campaign. A UNISON led initiative that aims to review the work HCA’s do against the new Agenda for Change banding descriptions.

The van is now off to Exeter for another week of activities.
