Flying start to the year as Concorde Health Branch wins regional award

With equality at the heart of what they do and an annual 25 days of Christmas organising tradition it was almost inevitable that Concorde Health would secure Branch of the Year.

Upon presenting the award at the Get Active awards ceremony in Taunton UNISON regional secretary Joanne Kaye said:

“Concorde Health have made equality issues a standing agenda item at branch meetings with events organised for Black History Month, International Women’s Day and other significant dates in the year.

“They have been very active in promoting, providing and organising learning events for low paid and migrant workers to enable them to increase their skill set ahead of possible promotions.

“Throughout the year, they make sure that no employee can say that they’ve “never been asked” and everyone know’s how to join the union. I only hope this award goes some way to acknowledging the hard work of the whole Branch team.”
