BRISTOL 17th-19th July
This Course is aimed Representatives who have completed the Organising Stewards Stage 1 course, and have had at least a year’s experience as a rep. The course falls between the initial training and the 5-year ERA Refresher course.
This is a pilot course and if successful we will roll this out across the region
The course will cover:
- Handling difficult cases and situations
- Managing member’s expectations
- Negotiating with the employer
- Making Equality part of your rep practice
- An update on employment law
- Looking after yourself as a rep
- Getting more involved in UNISON regionally and nationally

You should make your Branch aware that you are attending this course in order for them to keep their records up to date and ensure you receive up to date information relevant to your role.
If you are in need of support to request time off from your work to attend please talk to the branch to gain support.
