Band 2 healthcare assistants and health care support workers employed by University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust have been performing duties above their band for a number of years.
The Trust is proposing to re-band some staff to Band 3, but they are suggesting the only backpay you would get would be to November 2022.
This is unfair and devalues your experience and hard work.
Every other trust in the South West, outside Devon, has already uplifted their Band 2 staff to Band 3 and paid at least 4 years backpay to the longest serving members.
UNISON believes that Band 2 staff at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust deserve the same reward and recognition as HCAs in other NHS trusts.
