Trans Equality is very much UNISON business after a motion entitled ‘Trans Equality – Louder & Prouder passed overwhelmingly at national delegate conference.
The motion commits the union to increase the strength and visibility of UNISON’s work to promote trans equality inside and outside of the union, continuing to provide trans ally training and to produce and promote materials to help members counter the gender critical narrative.
The motion also seeks to ensure UNISON continues to campaign for a reform of the Gender Recognition Act.
South West delegates at conference stopped by the Equality stand in the UNIZONE to show their support for the motion.
