Mental health awareness, confidence building and skills analysis were all on the agenda today as apprentices met in Dorset for UNISON’s inaugural NHS Apprenticeship Conference.
Over 70 health workers attended the event coordinated by UNISON in partnership with Dorset NHS.
UNISON regional organiser Michael Cracknell said:
“UNISON recognise the importance of providing good quality apprenticeships which provide and develop skills to enable secure employment in the NHS.
“We’re keen to work in partnership with NHS trusts to combat both the staff and skills shortage within the health sector and hope that events like these go some way to addressing the issues we face.”
