Milestones Trust has proposed an improved annual staff pay award for 2026/27, which begins on 1 April.
The offer
- 4.80% increase for all staff whose current hourly rate is £12.91 per hour or less. For a full-time support worker employed under a Milestones Trust contract of employment, this will result in an increase of £1,209 per year.
- 4.80% increase in sleep-in payments for staff employed under Milestones Trust contracts only.
- 3% increase for all staff who earn more than £12.91 per hour.
- An increase in the on-call payment to £30 for weekdays and £65 for weekends.
As a recognised trade union UNISON is currently being consulted on this offer, and we are asking our members in Milestones to vote on whether you want to accept or reject it.
UNISON’s view is that this offer represents the best achievable by negotiation, and our recommendation to members is to accept. This is based on the negotiations as well as the turnout of our previous ballot and the results of the survey that we conducted alongside it.
