6 June 2018 11:00am–5:00pm
Truro Community Library
This workshop is for members working in the Community and Voluntary sector or for Private companies delivering Public Services.
UNISON speaks up for people working to provide our public services – giving them a voice in the workplace, in government and in the wider community. We aim to build our union by recruiting people working across the spectrum and empowering them to improve their working lives through education, negotiation and representation.
Last year we ran a series of workshops entitled ‘Knowing your rights at work’ and this year we’re back with our new workshop ‘Your rights in the workplace’.
As with last year’s events we surveyed members working for Community and Private Sector organisations living in the South West to see what you’d like us to support you with.
At this workshop we’ll be covering:
- Your right to consultation (contract changes and TUPE)
- Employment Rights (Maternity & Paternity Leave, Flexible Working, Holiday Pay & Sleep In Payments
This event is free and lunch will be provided. Please contact your Branch if you need support with travel expenses.
