1 – 3 November 2019
Our Regional Young Members weekend is designed by young members for young members. It’s a residential weekend of workshops, speakers and training events and is open to all UNISON Young Members who want to develop their skills and knowledge in campaigning and organising around the issues they face.
There has never been a more important time for young people to join, and become active, in UNISON. The issues facing young people at the current time are both within the workplace (job insecurity, low pay etc) and beyond (housing, access to education etc).
Who is it for?
Members and Activists who are 26 years old and under.
What can I expect?
This weekend will include:
- Opportunities to meet other young members in the South West
- Learn about your rights in the workplace and how you can help create change
- Getting active on issues that matter to you
There is also the opportunity to learn how to become a Branch Young Members Officer.
More information will be announced over the coming weeks but if you have any questions please e-mail Charlie Woods: firstname.lastname@example.org
