Disabled Members AGM & Disability History Month Event

The South West Disabled Members Self-Organised Group are holding their annual general meeting on Saturday 30th November in Taunton.

The day will include Lyndsey Chung speaking on the Disability Rights UK Leadership Academy Programme and a quiz on Disability Rights by Jon Hartley. These will be followed by the Disabled Members SOG AGM in the afternoon.

Disability is defined as “a mental or physical impairment that has a substantial and long-term effect on a person’s ability to carry out normal day to day activities”.  It includes people with hidden disabilities (such as diabetes, epilepsy, mental health and dyslexia) and conditions such as HIV, cancer and MS from the point of diagnosis.
