12 – 14 May 2017
This course will help you understand:
- the structure of UNISON, its aims and objectives and how it operates
- the key duties and role of your specific post
Who is it for?
- All newly elected or re-elected branch officers, or members interested in taking up one of these roles.
Please note – this is part 1 of the branch officers training. Part 2 is from 7-9 July 2017
Due to venue issues, we have had to split the training over two weekends to ensure that we have enough rooms for people attending. This is for 2017 only and we have resolved the issues for the 2018 weekend, which will be held once again as one event.
The sessions will start at 12:00 on the Friday and end at 13:00 on the Sunday.
The training courses will be held as follows:
12 – 14 May
- Branch Secretaries
- Branch Chairs
- Equality Coordinators
- Health and Safety
- International Officers
7 – 9 July
- Young Members
- Education Coordinators
- Communications Officers
- Women’s Officers
- LGBT Officers
The weekends are open to all newly elected branch officers in the roles listed above, and any activists who may be interested in taking up the role.
Full details of the individual courses and how to apply can be found in our Activists education programme 2017 from page 17 onwards.
