As you will be aware UNISON and GMB have been in negotiation and consultation with BCP Council for several years on the bringing together of all the different pay scales and terms and conditions that are in use across the Council and maintained schools, due to the previous councils’ original transfer into the new BCP Unitary Council in 2019.
Following the results from the previous consultative ballot, UNISON and GMB have undertaken further negotiations with the Council.
This is the employer’s final position, following further negotiations and the exhaustive use of the internal dispute resolution process. UNISON are now formally asking whether you wish to accept or reject this new pay and grading and terms and conditions proposal.
UNISON is not making a recommendation as we want all members to make an informed decision based on the details of the final proposal. We believe it is the very best that can be achieved by negotiation. Any further improvements may only be possible with some form of action from UNISON members.
