Environment Agency staff set for out-of-hours ban

Workers will refuse to volunteer for on-call cover outside contracted hours from this weekend until 19 September, in continuing action over pay.

Thousands of Environment Agency staff who play a vital role in protecting communities across England will walk out today (Wednesday) as they strike over pay for the first time*, says UNISON.

Members will be on strike between 8am and 5pm.
