Somerset County Council, the NHS and UNISON have worked together to invest £4.8m to increase pay and recognise the vital contribution and hard work of care staff.
This equates to a 9% uplift to domiciliary care providers (in CQC regulated settings) to pay their staff a minimum of £10.50 per hour with immediate effect.
